Description

The rooms at Preseli on the Swansea University Campus are the cost effective accommodation you’re looking for if you fancy staying in Wales’ 2nd largest city (Swansea) and exploring the South West Wales coastline. You’ll have 24 hour access to your room so that you can go sightseeing during the day and experience Swansea’s nightlife during the evenings. The room price includes a cooked or continental breakfast available in the Refectory, as well as access to the on campus bars and theatre.

As there are single, twin or double rooms available at Preseli you can stay here alone, with a friend or with your partner. As these rooms are normally used as halls of residence by the students of Swansea University during term time they are quite basic but you will have the amenities you need including an ensuite shower, toilet and washbasin, central heating, bed linen, a desk, tea and coffee making equipment and a phone you can use to make outgoing calls if you purchase credit from reception.

Nearby attractions

Preseli is located right on the South West Coast of Wales, surrounded by the beaches of Swansea Bay. Close by Swansea City Centre is home to plenty of shops, restaurants and nightlife for you to explore. When you fancy venturing further afield you could take the 45 minute trip to Cardiff, head further along the coast to the 7 miles of golden sands on Cefn Sidan or go and see Kidwelly Castle. The fantastic Gower Peninsula nearby is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that you have to see!

Children are welcome at Preseli as long as they are accompanied by an adult. If you have any valuables on you like passports and travel tickets you can store these in the safe at reception.

There are a limited number of car parking spaces at Preseli. If you don’t manage to get a space you will find two public car parks bordering the campus.

Directions

By Train : To get to Preseli via train you should travel to Swansea High Street Station. You can take a taxi from here or a bus.

By Bus : From Swansea High Street Station take the main exit and catch a bus to the Quadrant bus station. Once you arrive at the bus station buses that leave from bays 1, 2 or 3 will take you to the Swansea University Campus where Preseli is based.

By Car : If you’re heading towards Preseli on the M4 Westbound exit at junction 42 and get onto the A483 towards Swansea. One you reach the City Centre you should get onto the A4067 Oystermouth Road which will take you towards the Mumbles. After Brynmill Lane on your right you should turn into the Swansea University Campus where you will find Preseli.

If you’re heading towards Preseli on the M4 Eastbound you should come off at junction 47 and get onto the A483 heading for Swansea. Follow the signs for High Street and when you get to Wind Street you should turn right onto the A4067 which is Oystermouth Road. After Brynmill Lane on your right you should turn right into the Swansea University Campus where Preseli is based.
